Matt Sykes

Matt Sykes (better known behind the bar as Mellow) is the creative force leading the cocktail program at The Bar at 27 North. Born in Woodacre, CA and now calling Novato, CA home, Matt blends a love of conversation with a knack for inventive, award-winning drinks, earning accolades from multiple publications along the way.

With a background in English literature and clinical psychology, his cocktails are as thoughtful as they are bold, crafted for the intimate, speakeasy energy that draws guests to The Bar at 27 North. When he’s not shaking up a masterpiece, you might find him breakdancing, tumbling, writing fiction, or chasing magic at Disney parks with his wife and toddler son.

Matt’s philosophy? Face the end of the world with a great view, a drink in one hand, and a cigar in the other.

Lucas Huff

Lucas Huff is the magnetic energy behind the bold, inventive cocktails at Foley Family Wines & Spirits. As U.S. Spirits Ambassador and in-house mixologist, he transforms the brand’s rich portfolio into unforgettable moments, one inspired pour at a time, captivating palates from coast to coast.

But Lucas’s story runs deeper than the glass. As part of the original team that launched Minden Mill Distillery in 2019, he rode the highs, braved its sudden pandemic closure, and helped steer its triumphant relaunch under Foley’s banner. Equal parts storyteller and craftsman, he’s become a familiar, trusted presence to both fans and colleagues—embodying the grit, passion, and artistry that define the brand’s spirit.

In short: Lucas Huff doesn’t just mix drinks, he stages experiences. From reimagined classics to estate-distilled showstoppers, every creation drips with creativity, finesse, and a touch of soul.
